Day 11: Be Here Now
Muti-tasking is a myth! Especially when it comes to collaboration with other team members. We only fool ourselves to think that the other person doesn't notice -- when we look down to check a notification or glance at the next calendar appointment. They see it. More importantly, it is another micro withdrawl from the relationships needed to succeed.
Focus comes from shared purpose. Better to limit the meeting topic and the time alloted than to constantly be constantly pulled away from the discussion.
Try making your default meeting lengths 30 minutes or less. Step away from device distractions, knowing that you will be able to check in once you are done.
