Don't you just LOVE performance review time? Most people dread the habitual ways we provide formal feedback filling our forms. Often it feels more like a compliance chore, a "check the box" moment. Why? Perhaps feedback focus is on the wrong things. Areas for Improvement vs. Contributions Made. Gaps from our Goals vs. Progress Delivered. Focusing only what didn't happen or weaknesses needing to be fixed, while important, often dominate the formal feedback process. Perhaps the best way to show #TeamLove is flipping the script. Focusing on our Strengths, contributions made, progress delivered and yes -- developing our Unique Abilities (see day 4).
