Day 1: Start with a Compelling WHY
As a visionary leader, I used to hate the question WHY. It felt like they were questioning my vision, my brillance. Inside I'm thinking..."I've tapped you to take on this important project and I trust you to do it, that should be enough". Then one day, a team member came to me and said, "when I understand the WHY, it helps me anticipate the project's needs and unleashes my creativity in new ways". Now, I welcome the WHY -- and want to do all in my power to cast a Compelling WHY to find the best-fit team members, helping them understand the potential benefits when we take action and the consequences if we do not. This clarity unleashes newfound creativity and purpose. Making work more fulfilling and sharing #TeamLOVE across the organization.
