A week ago (day 6), we suggested leaving the HOW to your talented team members. Yet, as a leader, there is still a very important HOW that you can influence. HOW you can help.

Checking in with your team members, even briefly for an update not only keeps you informed, it provides a rich opportunity to coach and mentor.

It can be so hard for visionary leaders not to step in and fill a potential void on a given project. Yet, when we see ourselves as a coach & mentor -- rather than a supervisor -- we allow space for struggle and challenge -- growing newfound capabilities in our team members.

Rather than getting into the weeds of HOW to solve a problem, taking away their initiative -- perhaps we can maximize this moment with another HOW question. Asking HOW I can help.
