A Bold Book Writing Experiment

Welcome to the "For Love of Team" blog, where we are thrilled to announce the launch of a bold book writing experiment as part of the newest season of our podcast. As your host, Winston Faircloth, I invite you to join us on an unprecedented journey where every step of creating a new book, "Team Love," will be shared with you, our invaluable readers and listeners. 

It's been nearly three years since we concluded Season 2 of our podcast with a reflective dialogue about our past journey. My personal and professional life has since taken exciting turns, transforming me into an enthusiastic writer. With almost 900 photos and poems chronicled on my personal social media, I embarked on what I lovingly call "My Reunion Tour," a path of returning to the essence of who I am beyond my professional identity. 

This venture allowed me to shed old identities tied to work and achievement, and more importantly, helped me recognize harmful leadership patterns that impacted my team in the past. It's this journey of growth and self-awareness that I wish to convey as we dive into writing "Team Love." 

For over 40 years, I've been deeply ingrained in leadership and executive roles, primarily within United Ways and the non-profit sector. From eventful years with United Way to building a nationwide tech company and shifting into consulting and coaching, each stage has offered invaluable lessons. These experiences have shaped the insights I am excited to share in my upcoming book, "Team Love." 

"Team Love" stems from a series of blog posts about leadership and love published during Valentine's Month, which resonated deeply with our audience. Now, we are extending this conversation into a full-fledged book, inviting you to witness and engage in its creation. 

Every week, we will publish an audio draft of a book chapter here, along with summary notes on our blog. We're giving away this content in its raw and real-time form to engage you, our community, for feedback and support in crafting a book that serves visionary leaders and those aspiring to lead with love.
